Also known as "The Granite City", Aberdeen is Scotland's 3rd largest city, sometimes referred to as "The Silver City", but its stag facilities are way up to gold medal standards!!! With its ski slopes, beaches, golf courses, 8 distilleries and the world's only "Malt Whisky Trail" and lots of bonnie wee lassies, this city is a true flower of Scotland.

Again, a city with a vibrant atmosphere for all tastes, from the upmarket babycham drinker, to the anarchic party-hard tequila squealer!! The Prince of Wales (PoW), just off Union Street is a corker of a pub where all walks of life come to life here. The teeming student population adds to the spice of Aberdeen at night, where you can take advantage of cheap venues..... with some cheap lassies if you’re lucky!! So come and let Aberdeen put some meat in your haggis, you big shandy drinking Jesse!!!

Dyce Airport is approximately 7 miles from the city centre, whilst the train station is smack bang in the in the city centre, not far from epicenter of activity and shopping, "Union Street".

Aberdeen, The Granite City, The Silver City, something about Golden Sands…whatever you want to call it one thing is certain – it is one hell of a great place to enjoy a sick stag weekend. Let me pass you over to Colin Booth, best man to Stephen Clark and organiser of the Absolute Aberdeen Stag Avengers.

Ever since I’ve known Stephen he’s banged on about having Scottish roots somewhere in the Clark ancestry. Booking an Aberdeen stag weekend was a natural choice and ticked all the boxes for us. Besides, I’d never been to Scotland and always had a soft spot for that accent. All ten of us kicked off the weekend by booking the Malt Whisky Tour which was what it said on the label - distilleries galore. This included ridiculous amounts of ‘free’ whisky which can’t be sniffed at but by the end of the tour we all started to get double vision and I was convinced everyone was called Pete…or was that smelling of pete. Well worth it even if you’re not a whisky lover. Great place to get pissed and we stumbled on The Prince of Wales pub – fantastic boozer to get lost in and not remember a whole night. "Great place to get pissed..." The next day, once out heads cleared, we busted out in head-to-toe tartan and sedately made our way round 18 holes of golf. Beautiful golf course and we got to relax in the club house for lunch washed down with hair of the dog. I’ve never forget Stephen being forced to do impressions of McWitch from Rent-a-Ghost, not to mention looking the spitting image. We couldn’t have asked for more from our Aberdeen Stag Weekend and I don’t think some of the lovely Scottish ladies could have either. I came away from it with a wealth of material to embarrass Stephen on his wedding day.
