Aberdeen Stag Weekends More Info

Ever since I’ve known Stephen he’s banged on about having Scottish roots somewhere in the Clark ancestry. Booking an Aberdeen stag weekend was a natural choice and ticked all the boxes for us. Besides, I’d never been to Scotland and always had a soft spot for that accent.

All ten of us kicked off the weekend by booking the Malt Whisky Tour which was what it said on the label - distilleries galore. This included ridiculous amounts of ‘free’ whisky which can’t be sniffed at but by the end of the tour we all started to get double vision and I was convinced everyone was called Pete…or was that smelling of pete. Well worth it even if you’re not a whisky lover.

The tour definitely got us in the mood for some partying and taking an evening stroll along Union Street is like being a kid in a sweet shop all over again. Great place to get pissed and we stumbled on The Prince of Wales pub – fantastic boozer to get lost in and not remember a whole night.

The next day, once out heads cleared, we busted out in head-to-toe tartan and sedately made our way round 18 holes of golf. Beautiful golf course and we got to relax in the club house for lunch washed down with hair of the dog. I’ve never forget Stephen being forced to do impressions of McWitch from Rent-a-Ghost, not to mention looking the spitting image.

We couldn’t have asked for more from our Aberdeen Stag Weekend and I don’t think some of the lovely Scottish ladies could have either. I came away from it with a wealth of material to embarrass Stephen on his wedding day.
