What to expect from Abseiling on your Stag Weekend
Abseiling or Rappelling is not actually a sport but more of a technique used by climbers to descend using a fixed rope. The reason it is a stag do favourite is that it is so much adrenaline fuelled fun, not to mention pant wetting, nail biting and bloody dangerous. Perfect!
Still haven't convinced you on how much fun abseiling is? Well here's what John from Bristol thought:
Oh my god this rocks! I don't even like heights but once you take the plunge, not physically but mentally, and you're dangling 30 foot in the air with only a rope as your friend it certainly puts the wind up you. It was so scary I loved it and just wanted to do it again and again... like a human yoyo.
A dangerous technique such as abseiling requires specialised equipment and gear to ensure safety and minimise risk - including ropes, descenders, carabiners, climbing helmet, gloves, knee and elbow pads etc. But we won't bore you with the details as on this stag do activity you will get expert tuition on navigating the wall, leaving you free to worry about how on earth you're going to get down in one piece.
Abseiling stag weekends separate the men from the boys and guarantees an adrenaline fix - perfect for building up a thirst.
