Travelodge Bath Central

Overview

Bath’s Travelodge central is set in an impressive Georgian building that sets the tone for a classy stag do in this cool city. You’re in a prime spot just a mile from Bath bus station and Bath Spa train station. Expect modern rooms, Dreamer beds and Freeview TV. This is a hotel for party hunters, surrounded by trendy pubs and clubs so you won’t have to walk far for a brilliant night out.

It would be a crime to visit Bath and not take a dip in the ancient Roman spa baths. These guys really knew how to cut loose, so take a leaf out of their book and let the warm healing waters steam away your fuzzy heads and prep you for the second big night out. There’s no dining room in the hotel, but you are a two-minute walk from the Pig & Fiddle, a wicked old pub with beer, live sports and amazing home cooked food.

Facilities
Travelodge Central Bath is a large budget hotel sleeping up to three guests per room. Each room has an en-suite shower/bath and WC; a TV; and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel is centrally heated and smoking is not allowed. Snacks and drinks can be purchased from well-stocked vending machines at all times. Hairdryers and irons are available at reception, where you can also store valuables in the safe. WiFi is free for the first 30 minutes everyday and payable after that. Charged parking is available in the area.

Bath Stag do guide

Bath boasts a bucket-load of top quality restaurants and clubs just waiting to make their mark on your groom-to-be’s big send-off. Factor in thousands of hen party attendees making their way to Bath every weekend, and we reckon you can’t fail to enjoy a successful Bath stag do that will live in infamy!

It’s definitely the place that draws several stags who want a classy weekend away that doesn’t demand London prices. Probably most famous for its roman baths and spas, Bath is the city to book in a relaxing massage or the chance to chill out with your mates and enjoy a heated rooftop pool at the Thermae Bath Spa. Just make sure you bring your swimming trunks if you’re planning to do that though!

Looking for  Great if you are looking for

  • The chance to relax and unwind in natural thermal spas
  • A classy night out with your mates
  • Clay pigeon shooting, treasure hunts, off road buggies and Butlerettes in the Buff

Getting around  Getting around

Unless you’re local we don’t recommend driving to bath as the roads inside the city are very windy and difficult to navigate. This makes getting to and from activities outside of the city a bit of a nightmare. If you want help with travel, just ask one of our party planners to book transfers to and from the event for everyone in the group. Travelling around the city is easy, many things are easy to get to on foot and there is a reliable bus service that costs £4.40 for a day pass.

Tips and ideas  Tips and ideas

As mentioned earlier in this guide and without a doubt, you and the lads should pack your trunks and ensure that you visit the Thermae Bath Spa. It’s Britain’s only natural, mineral, thermal spa and a favourite attraction for tourists and locals alike! There are lots of different pools for you to use inside. The key attraction has to be the rooftop pool which is heated and provides one of the most pleasant views of the city.

The rest of Bath is worth visiting on foot, as there are plenty of architectural sights - The Royal Crescent and Bath Abbey for instance, which are main attractions for the city’s visitors. Bath is also home to a unique and interesting collection of magic practitioners, if you fancy a little wizardry, we suggest checking out Krowd Keepers, a Magic Theatre on York Street.

Nightlife  Nightlife

Bath offers a great selection of culture, sophistication, and a lively night out. If you’re after some cracking nightlife with a youthful crowd and good drinks then Po Na Na nightclub is a great venue to tick off some drinking and dancing. It’s a Moroccan themed venue with cosy plush seated spots, and a warmly lit dance floor so you can bust out some moves or just watch others strut their stuff. There’s also Club XL which is your more traditional night club. It’s got two floors, the biggest dance floor in Bath, four bars and a separate chill out bar for when you just want to kick back and rest your dancing shoes. Finally, we have The Common Room which isn’t anything like the one you used to visit in school and a lot more fun. The Common Room Bar has some fantastic American beers on tap and largest range of Bourbon in any bar in South Yorkshire. Not to mention some brilliant British craft ales. They also have a pool table and serve food as well so if you want to know more information and book guest list stag entry through us then just let us know.
