When people think of arranging a stag weekend in Scotland their minds are filled with images of wild stags, malt whiskies, heather, William Wallace and the great outdoors.

I’m personally not too sure about some of them but Scotland does offer the last one and what better to do in the great Glaswegian outdoors than to tear it up on a super charged quad bike.

"I think Scotland is perfect rugged terrain for quad bike trekking; we’ve got rocky passes, swamps, woods, heath land, mountains, lakes – the works. You name it, we’ve got it on our course.

There’s a few of us at Kypeside Country Capers and we’re all quad biking fanatics so for me, going into work every day is brilliant. We have quite a lot of quad bikes now and service them ourselves to ensure that they run properly and safely. The types of terrain that they are driven over means we need to regularly check them.

It's great to offer stag parties something a little different from the usual go-karting, and quad biking guarantees speed, jumps, adrenaline and masses of fun. I’ve noticed that over the last few years quad biking is becoming a popular stag weekend activity and they all seem to love it. We can’t complain because it means we’re out everyday doing what we love best.

When the stag party arrive we give them a full briefing on the rules, the safety procedures and specific quad biking techniques from one of our qualified instructors. Everyone get kitted out in their outfit and off they go".
