Agatha Christie (crime-writing novelist loved by old people disappeared here once….spooky!), Yorkshire Dales National Park, Leeds Utd footy players (footy in its loosest term), The Dingles of Emmerdale have been seen here (It’s bloody Emmerdale Farm), Emmerdale “Farm” actors, John Craven (newsround legend), and a guy called Rudi (chap who busks in the street and looks a bit like Jesus of the Nazareth family).

There are some excellent eating houses such as “The Old Bell Tavern” which has a perfect traditional English menu accompanied with some excellent European brews. Have a nice slice of hog washed down with a nice extra strength Belgian cherry beer, now that’ll put hairs on your eyeballs!! There’s also a “Royal Pump Room” there, now that sounds like it’s worth a look!!?? (Only if you like to drink sulphur water that is, nothing rude here unfortunately!).
