Paintballing for your stag weekend is fast becoming a stag classic. Running through the woods, hiding behind trees, painting your face with mud and shooting your mates. Might sound like a certain episode of 'Spaced' and you would be right.
You will get some lunch - that is if you can stop shooting your stag party for 5 minutes - and a large round of ammo to paint them all with.
Think Rambo, think Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator. This is the perfect stag weekend activity and will give you a great chance to bond with the boys as well as show 'em who's boss. Grab some balls of paint and go wild with your stag party.
Anyone whose spent a few hours running or ducking around a wood shooting at anything or anyone knows full well how much fun paintballing is, as well as how much those paintballs hurt when your shot at close range. This finely tuned mix of pleasure and pain is fast making paintballing a stag weekend classic.
Fancy yourself as Rambo saving long lost Vietnam vets from behind enemy lines
If by the end of the stag do session you don’t own a made-to-measure polka dot Birthday suit then you’re either a trained commando or have been cowering behind the nearest tree.
I don’t need to tell you that paintballing is a sport in which players eliminate opponents from play by hitting them will pellets containing paint because we’ve probably all tried it. However, lets take a step back in time to an era when flares ruled, you could take off with condor-like lapels and have a little history lesson into the beginnings of paintballing.
The first paintballs were created in the 1970s by some guy called Charles who owned a paint company for use by foresters to mark trees and cattlemen to mark cows. Fast forward to 1976 and three friends (a stock trader, a S.W.A.T. officer and a green beret) chatting about hunting buffalo in Africa, decided to recreate the thrill of the hunt by hunting each other and idea of paintballing was conceived.
There is actually an objective to capture the opposing team’s flag but once those paintballs start flying it becomes a manic free-for-all and I think the main idea is to shoot everyone all the time. What flag?
So if you fancy yourself as Rambo saving long lost Vietnam vets from behind enemy lines then paintballing is the perfect stag weekend activity. When else would you get the chance to shoot and inflict pain on your best mates?
