Actress hoping for low-key wedding

Grooms and newlyweds across the UK might be familiar with the endless fuss and planning that goes into creating the perfect wedding day.

However, one celebrity concedes that she hasn't even thought about her ceremony yet - and is hoping it will all just pass of quietly.

Singer and actress Mandy Moore is due to wed rock star boyfriend Ryan Adams after the couple confirmed their engagement last week.

But the 24-year-old insisted that she would not be obsessing about her big day, despite the media interest that is bound to surround the ceremony.

"Hopefully, it can happen and slip by unnoticed by everybody. I guess we have to be sort of sneaky about it, but I'll see what I can accomplish," she told LA's Valentine in the morning radio show.

The star added that, having tied the knot on-screen on several occasions, she was no longer occupied with "the whole giant wedding fuss".

Moore is not the only celebrity to reveal her engagement in recent weeks, with British television personality and former Big Brother contestant Jade Goody also announcing plans to tie the knot.
