Bride and Groom spend wedding night in jail

We've heard about stags and hens ending up in a prison cell after a rather excessive stag night or hen party, but a US couple have gone one better by both ending up is jail on their wedding night.

The pair were arrested after the bride allegedly attacked the groom's former lover after the wedding. It is claimed the Massachusetts bride tried to run over the woman and her son.

Marissa Ann Putignano-Keene, 22, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon - her car, and damage to property after crashing said car into a fence.

No-one was injured in the carpark incident in Cape Cod, but nonetheless the groom, 37-year-old Timothy Keene, who was also in the car, was charged with disorderly conduct and taken into protective custody, along with his new wife.
