Brits prefer to book their holidays early

British holidaymakers like to book their trips well in advance, according to online travel company Expedia.

The study shows that Brits also like to book their holidays on a Monday, which we can only assume is a tactic of getting over the Monday morning blues at work.

It is not always easy to organise and book a stag weekend abroad well in advance as it can take time to round up the guys that want to celebrate the stag's last weekend of freedom. However, booking early can often result in the best deals and give the maximum time to plan for a memorable weekend.

Expedia's survey also found that the Danes and Germans are more conscious of the cost of their holidays, with holidaymakers from both nations spending an average of 20 per cent less on their trips than the Brits.
