We all know that weddings can get a little… rowdy. You know what I mean: relatives and friends all together in one room mix that with copious amounts of alcohol, a reason to celebrate and BOOM.
By the time you know what’s happening your cousin is making out with “market stall” Bob, the groom as has accidentally puked on the brides train (she doesn’t notice, he doesn’t tell her) and Uncle Pete has lost his trousers (to this day I’ll never know how) and is now doing Michael Jackson’s “thriller” routine on the dance floor…
You know what I’m talking about right?

No? O.K. well maybe that was just me but I’m sure you’ve all been to weddings that have ended in absolutely chaos. So when I heard that former Newcastle United football player Danny Guthrie’s ended disastrously I couldn’t help but chuckle.
Apparently during his wedding reception (held on June 2 at the lush Allteron castle) guests started to get completely out of hand when they started throwing lobster thermindor at each other (footballers what are they like? Is confetti not good enough!?) Think that’s bad? It gets worse, because the poor bride (Rebecca Middleman) ended being punched in the face by a guest!
Police were called to calm things down however (once they had) they were called back again 2 hours later as protesting guests smashed down a door. When interviewed the staff at Allteron Castle said that the guests, “behaved like peasants with money.”
Sounds more like a stag than a wedding doesn’t it?
Anyway for me, the worst thing has to be the fact that bride was punched in the face, which is bad enough but on her wedding day!? Ouch. I hope the culprit is caught soon, because if I were her- I’d want to punch the %$!# right back (in the face of course!)
