Now we know we’re not supposed to be secretly impressed (or laugh for that matter) but we found these funny stag weekend stories in the news recently and we thought they were so brilliant that we had to share them. Anyway our first story comes from Cornwall where a drunken group of stags decided that (we’re assuming after consuming copious amounts of alcohol) that it would be a good idea to go to fishing – at midnight.
And that should have been the end of it, however the drunken group where spotted by a concerned passer-by who claimed that “the 20 men were drunk and not in control of the four 16ft day boat” and promptly called the coast guard, who then set out on a lengthy rescues mission which included two lifeboats and a cliff rescue team.
However by “the drunken men” had made their way back to shore and back in their beds by the time the rescue mission was in full swing!
Oh dear. Last we heard the stag party were fined severely for the incident and that they angered all that were involved in the search team. Anyway our second story comes from Gloucester where a mum and her 14 year old daughter were horrified when they thought they witnessed a man being kidnapped, tied up and dumped into the boot of a car by 4 masked men. As it turns out it was a wild stag prank and the groom-to-be was the poor chap in the trunk.
Let’s just say the police who were called were not impressed and whilst the stag party in question weren’t arrested they were asked to make a genuine apology to the mother and daughter who witnessed the ordeal.
Now before I end this post, I should say that whilst we do find both these stag weekend stories to be very funny. We also accept that if the situation(s) had been different then people could have gotten seriously hurt and that would have been bad or everyone involved. So (for the record) we don’t as a company condone reckless and/or dangerous behaviour during your stag do (well that we’d admit to anyway…)
