Football ace celebrates stag weekend in Magaluf

Scottish soccer ace Kevin Thomson took time out from his gruelling rehab routine to attend his best mate's stag weekend this month - and the break could be just what the Rangers midfielder needed.

Thomson jetted off to Majorca with fellow footballer Scott Brown to help the Celtic star celebrate his impending nuptials after spending more than seven months out of action with cruciate damage.

And the Rangers man reckons the trip could be just the ticket as he looks to bounce back from injury to secure another Scottish Premier League title next season.

Thomson said: "I went to Scott's stag at the start of June but I've been working here almost every other day."

He added: "The stag was for three days in Magaluf.

"We didn't do much. The main thing was that Scott enjoyed himself."

Brown may now be looking forward to his big day, but he is by no means the only footballer planning to tie the knot this summer.

Manchester United star Wes Brown was recently pictured enjoying a stag weekend in Las Vegas ahead of his wedding later this month, while teammate Rio Ferdinand will also enjoy a summer wedding.
