New Facebook app could aid stag party planning

Stag party organisers can now make use of a new Facebook application designed to simplify the hassle of booking group holidays, it emerged today (December 8th).

'Beach Mate', which was created by leading online travel agency On the Beach, is the first collaborative tool of its kind to appear on the social networking website.

The application allows users to invite their friends on a trip by providing them with a unique customer reference number, which they can use on the company's booking page.

"Organising a group holiday can be very stressful and time-consuming, not to mention expensive, as the person organising the holiday often find themselves out of pocket," said Alistair Daly, marketing director at On the Beach.

"Beach Mate is not only fun to use, but it will also take all the stress away from organising a group holiday."

The new application has already proved to be a major hit as 18,000 fans have signed up, giving the company the largest Facebook following of any online travel agent.

On the Beach was formed in 1995 and offers trips to popular European stag party destinations such as Amsterdam, Berlin and Prague.
