Fancy dress outfits are usually reserved for the stag do and hen night but a couple from Liverpool decided to get married with outrageous outfits.
The groom was and Jack Sparthe bride was Marie Antoinette in what will make one of the strangest set of wedding pictures.
The collected guests included Popeye, the Wicked Witch of the West and SpongeBob SquarePants.
After Elliot McDonough was offered a job in Saudi Arabia he decided to merge his and his girlfriend Angela’s leaving do into a wedding to avoid difficulties in the religious Middle Eastern nation.
Angela explained: “Elmo was offered a job in Saudi Arabia, so we arranged a fancy dress leaving do.
“But then we found out, if we weren’t married, it would cause difficulties for us in Saudi, so we decided to tie the knot at the party – but kept it a secret.
“It was such a big surprise for our guests, but they loved it and really helped us have such a memorable party.”
