Power Boats stag weekends: What to expect

When you climb into one of our zapcats, you aren’t going on a relaxed cruise, you’re embarking on a breakneck adventure that spits spray in all directions. What we’re getting at here is – if you’re the kind of guy who turns green at the thought of a paddle boat, this one isn’t for you. However, if you like your fun fast and furious, wet and wild – powerboats is a must-do activity as part of your stag party. A zapcat is ideal for embarking on some nautical mayhem, they’re able to conquer all the elements. Whether it’s a steady lake or some wilder waves out to sea – a zapboat provides the same experience of high-octane thrills(and probably a few spills when your mates fall in!).

After everyone’s equipped with their lifejackets you’ll be strapped in and blasted off for an adrenaline rush in your coastal location. It’s a fantastic activity for all the guys who love extreme experiences – there’s no messing about with sails or anything here, it’s just raw speed.

Although we don’t expect that you’ll instantly become experienced seamen, we’re sure that you can work on getting your sea legs when your back on land with a stagger to the local watering hole.

It’s normally two people per Zapcat (one being the actual instructor) and this is where the fun starts: under the guidance of an instructor you’ll reach speeds and carry out manoeuvres that simply could not be attempted by craft of a similar size. You’ll reach speeds of 2 G’s and turn in some the tightest of corners you can imagine.  It really is quite an experience, and as you’re bouncing along the water you’ll start to feel a mixture of elation and fear as you speed along the water like a bat out of hell. We should warn you though: the only problem with hitting 2 'G' is that you'll probably be covered in by your own saliva by the end of the ride.

In terms of things to bring. A wet suit will be supplied for you by the venue as well as a life jacket. You just need to bring a towel, potentially some swim shorts and some dry clothes to change into afterwards.*

What our customers had to say about us...

Very easy booking and payment procedure, the fact that each person can pay separately, takes the hassle out of chasing up money for the organiser (me!). The staff are very friendly and helpful and full of good ideas and suggestions. The weekend in Brighton was good value. I would recommend this company to anybody. - Sarzi Heath (Stag Company Trust Pilot)
