Stag night revellers 'should look at all their options'

Stag night revellers should not be afraid to venture into the unknown this year as they seek to pick up a bargain break overseas, it would seem.

According to the Midlands Co-Op Travel company, holidaymakers are "looking at all their options" this year in a bid to beat the credit crunch and dodge unfavourable exchange rates.

The group claimed that Brits are increasingly deciding to shun tried-and-tested eurozone hotspots in favour of other less traditional destinations.

A spokesman for the firm said: "We have seen an increase in interest in non-euro destinations like Bulgaria, Morocco, Egypt and Turkey, which offer better exchange rates."

Indeed, according to the Post Office Costs Barometer, Bulgaria offers the best location for a bargain break this year, taking top spot in a list of the cheapest holiday destinations.

The eastern European nation beat off competition from Turkey and Croatia in the survey, which considered the cost of drinks, meals and accommodation in countries across Europe.
