Newquay Stag Do Accommodation

With laid back beach vibes by day, and a pulsating nightlife scene as the sun goes down, it’s easy to see why Newquay makes for a brilliant stag do destination. But if you’ve got an action-packed weekend of water sports ahead of you, you’ll need a comfortable, and convenient place to lay your heads at night, so you can recharge your batteries after partying into the small hours.

That’s where we come in, with our solid range of stag do friendly accommodation options, close to the action in Newquay. We’ve got a great choice available which caters for all budgets and tastes. From bunk rooms at the famous Bertie's Surf Lodge, just a stone’s throw from Newquay’s beautiful sandy beaches, and budget hotels which are cheap and cheerful, to standard rooms which have that little bit more to offer.

Whatever it is you’re after from your accommodation in Newquay, you can trust The Stag Company to provide you with it. Our team is ready and waiting to help you find a place that’s perfect for your group's needs.

Newquay Transport

Located in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, Newquay is an ultimate stag do destination. Beach trips, seaside pubs and stunning views to accompany a weekend of dizzyingly fun activities, what’s not to like?

As it’s located so deep in the country, there might be a few worries from your group about how easy it is to get around, but never fear! Newquay has plenty of transport options that will keep things running smoothly throughout your trip.

Newquay is home to both a mainline train station and Cornwall's very own airport. Whether you’re taking a leisurely and relaxing train ride or quickly jetting in so your weekend can start ASAP, both plane and train are great options for your group to use to make your way down to your stag do destination.

The easiest way to get around this beachside location at your leisure is definitely by hiring a car. Whether you’re renting from Hertz, Kayak or one of the local businesses, you can find a variety of options all at great rates to accommodate both the size of your group and whatever budget you’re sticking to for the trip.

However, if public transport is more your thing, don’t fret! Departing from both the main bus station on Manor Road at regular intervals every day, Newquay is home to a steady bus service that can take you around the town and beyond to plenty of different venues and locations.

Whilst Newquay doesn’t have any rideshare apps like Uber (yet!) it is home to plenty of taxi services. Notoriously reliable with efficient, friendly drivers, there are plenty of companies who will be happy to grab you and your mates and drop you off at your next destination. We’d recommend Newquay Cabs or 123 Taxis for the most reliable services.

Parking in Newquay

As it’s such a popular tourist spot, the good news is that there’s plenty of places for you to park your car around Newquay. Whether they’re council run or privately owned, the car parks will most likely be pay and display, so that’s something to keep in mind whilst you plan your budget around your trip.

If you’re a blue badge holder, you won’t need to stress about parking options, as you’ll be able to park in most locations - as long as your badge is clearly visible! The only places you won’t be able to park in will be dedicated spots for other vehicles (e.g., taxi tanks) or loading bays, so keep that in mind!

As busy as Newquay can get, it might be an idea to plan ahead where you’d like to park if you’re heading out and about to different beaches and tourist destinations for the day. Use Google and find a few sites where you can find the perfect place to park: simply pop in where you’re heading, and it will advise you of the closest car park to your destination. Not bad, right?

Types of Accommodation

After a day of surfing in the waves, (hopefully) catching some rays at the beach and hitting all the local nightlife spots, you’ll need to get your head down for some quality rest before the fun begins again tomorrow, right? Luckily for you, The Stag Co. have compiled only the best places that Newquay offers to stay, whatever your style and whatever your budget.

For the adventure lovers and jet setters out there, you may just be looking for a comfy bed to catch some zees on before you’re up again for another day of gallivanting around Newquay. In which case, we’d recommend staying in some of the clean, comfy and communal budget accommodation, like Surfer’s Lodge.

If you’re looking for a little more comfort and privacy, however, why not stretch to one of Newquay’s standard accommodation options? The local hotels offer spacious, comfy beds, delicious cooked breakfasts and a great space to relax and rejuvenate, all whilst staying in the centre of the action.

Accommodation FAQ

What's your advice for booking Newquay stag hotels?

Newquay has long been a favoured destination for UK stag weekends, due to its coastal location and lively bars and clubs. But it's not a huge town, and during the summer months especially, accommodation is in high demand. So if you're planning a Newquay stag do in July or August it makes sense to nail down your hotel as soon as possible to avoid last minute price hikes. We'd also recommend thinking about what type of accommodation you're after before making an enquiry. Newquay has surf lodges which are close to the beach, it has cheap n' cheerful budget places, and it has standard three-star properties that offer you a bit more space and comfort. Consider what's best for your group, and your budget.

How cheap is cheap?

When we say cheap n' cheerful, we mean a decent hotel that won't break the bank. We would never put any of our groups in a place that we wouldn't be happy to stay ourselves, and we'd like to think we have pretty good taste. Think cheap, cheerful, but also comfortable and convenient. It's worth noting that we've worked with premises like Bertie's for many, many years and regularly receive good reviews from happy punters.

Where are your Newquay hotels located?

In our opinion, in all the right places! We know that stag groups don't want to have to walk too far into town, or trek for ages after a surfing lesson, daytime drinking sesh, or day at the beach. So, we work hard to ensure that your accommodation is convenient for your activities, and the nightlife on offer. You could be in a surf lodge right next to one of Newquay's best clubs, or if being close to the beach is important to you, in a recognised chain hotel right on the seafront. We also have some suitable stag accommodation a little further out of town too, for those looking for a little more peace and quiet.

We need Newquay stag accommodation with car parking - can you offer that?

No problem. Many of the accommodations we use offer their guests either complimentary parking, or first-come, first-served spaces for a reasonable supplementary fee. There are also plenty of public car parks around central Newquay where you can leave your vehicles inexpensively for the duration.

Can you help with accommodation for big groups in Newquay?

Stag groups come in all shapes and sizes, and we've worked with them all over the years. So if your group is on the larger side in terms of numbers, we can certainly help you to find accommodation that will be a good fit. It will also be useful to know at the time of enquiry of any specific room requirements you have - normally we aim to put our groups up in twin rooms, but if you all want singles, that's going to have an impact not only on the price, but on the types of property available. If the group is quite big, it goes without saying that you're better off with a hotel rather than a stag house in Newquay.

And what about booking protection?

We're pleased to reassure you that The Stag Company is an ABTA member. ABTA is the largest association of travel agents in the country and in order to be a member, we are required to follow a strict Code of Conduct in relation to how we do business. And it also means that your money, and your friends' money, is fully protected when you book a package through us.

Do we need to bring our own towels?

Generally speaking, your accommodation with provide begging and ample towels for the shower, but they're not keen on their property being taken for beach use, so rocking up with a beach towel or two certainly won't hurt!
