Snowboarding stag weekends: What to expect

Just because you’re in a winter weather location doesn’t mean that you can’t do some of the best adrenaline pumping activities out there. Snowboarding offers all of the fun of surfing, but you don’t have to try to fit into one of those absurd wetsuits. If you’ve never been snowboarding before, it’s just like skiing except there’s only one piece of fibreglass between you and the snow speeding past under your feet. And you’ll look much much cooler.

Skill level doesn’t have to be a worry. Expert instructors are always on hand to get you up to speed on the slopes. Slopes come in a variety of grades such as Green, Blue or Black – so you’ll never be out of your comfort zone. And when you inevitably fall over? Well you’re just having a laugh with your mates! Once you’ve rode a few slopes you’ll see why snowboarding is one of the most popular and addictive sports out there. It’s perfect for a bunch of lads who like their fun fast and furious, and it’ll give you plenty to talk about for the rest of your stag weekend. Stag dos are all about seizing opportunities that you wouldn’t have otherwise had and snowboarding is one of the most unique (and extreme) activities out there.

Snow domes are great because unlike their dry slope cousins you're snowboarding on real snow and depending on which one you go to there are half pipes, ramps, grinds - you name it they've got it or you to play on.

"It's got the fashion, It's got the style, It's got the tricks, it attracts the babes"

Snowboarding for stag parties cater for all levels. You have the choice of going it alone (if you've done it before) or can have a lesson from some smooth instructor. It is hard at first to pick up but remember to place your weight on your front leg and lean into the slope.

You can always arrange a winter stag do and keep your fingers crossed for snow or get yourself down to a snow dome, so it doesn't matter if it's the height of summer outside because It's always -2 degrees inside the dome.

If you can't stop just fall over - simple. I bet after a stag weekend session on the snow your bum will really be bruised.
