If you’re after something a bit different to mark the last weekend of freedom, then a trip to Snowdonia will certainly break the usual stag tradition of bar crawls and scantily clad women removing their clothes. With this adrenaline pumped package, you and the rest of the guys will get to experience two popular activities that the Welsh wonder of Snowdonia has to offer; zip lining and bounce below caving. Zip lining provides the ultimate adrenaline rush – previous zip liners have achieved speeds of over 100mph on this one, so if you’ve got a real need for speed, then we’re pretty certain that you’ll love this one! Bounce below caving is also a great one for you and the guys to get stuck into, and with this, you’ll explore the depths of a cavern which is thought to be twice the size of St Paul’s Cathedral; believe us, it’s a totally exhilarating experience! Bounce Below
Located near Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales, Bounce Below is a series of trampoline nets concealed within a 176 year old disused cavern for you to explore on a stag weekend in Snowdonia, and just to get an idea of how cavernous this cavern is, we’re told it is twice the size of St Paul’s Cathedral! The cavern is illuminated throughout with a number of technicolour lights, and the nets are hung within two massive chambers – all at different levels, all being linked together by netted walkways, tunnels, and slides (oh yes!) If you’re not a big fan of heights you may need coercing into entering the cavern, especially as the top level trampoline nets are around 180 feet up!
Zip World Velocity
Get ready for the ride of your life! A truly unique and exhilarating experience: the fastest zip line in the world since 2013! For the thrill seekers amongst you, this is not to be missed on your Snowdonia stag weekend. Situated in Bethesda, Zip World Velocity is the longest zip line to be found in the Northern Hemisphere, reaching speeds of up to and over 100mph.
Our friends at Zip World assure you that a lot goes into the operation to ensure that you can not only reach high speeds, but reach them safely. You'll ride side-by-side with your mates, up to 4 of you at once, strapped in a position reminiscent of super man as you speed over the Penrhyn Quarry lake, with a birds-eye of picturesque Snowdonia, the historic quarry, spectacular North Wales coastline and beyond.
Velocity has two pairs of zip lines, you’ll start with the ‘Little Zipper’, which acts as an introduction of sorts, a gateway zip line if you will. Mind you, it’ll still reach speeds of up to 45mph! This is a great confidence builder which will take you into the heart of the historic quarry where the off-road journey to The Big Zipper commences.
The journey up the mountain in a specialised off-road vehicle is magnificent. The Quarry Tour involves a journey through what was once the largest slate quarry in the world. Around every corner is evidence of an industrial past which the professional drivers bring to life and they will astound you with their knowledge and captivating stories.

2 Nights In YHA Idwal Cottage
The YHA Idwal Cottage is located in Bangor and is perfect for stag groups wishing to explore the Snowdonia National Park. Situated between the Glyder and Carneddau Mountains your group can enjoy hiking and cycling along the Cambrian Way or Welsh 3000s. This accommodation has free parking and the major activities such as the Zip Lines and Bounce Below can all be reached within 10-35 minutes drive depending on the activity selected.
