If you are heading out for a big night on your stag do, schedule in a chilled activity for the daytime. Best bet? Learn to fish, you could call it the calm before the storm as you’ll be sat out on the waves with your mates hoping to snare a weighty catch while sipping on a few beers!
"I caught a really big one. I'd been reeling it in for about an hour and I was completely exhausted; this fish was a monster. I got almost to the keep net when the damn line snapped... it was the biggest fish I'd ever seen."
If this is familiar then you need to cast your line where you mouth is and choose fishing as a tranquil, sedate but thoroughly enjoyable stag weekend activity.
The type of fish you can catch is dependent on where you go and if you choose to cast your luck in the sea you could end up with a shark or even a mermaid.
Fishing is not something reserved for lonely old men who love sitting camouflaged by a pond with a couple of maggots warming under their tongues. It is a great way for you and old friends to spend a day together having a laugh, with beer flowing and not a lot happening on the end of your line.
In fact it could be the ideal opportunity for you to perfect casting a 'line' and wait and see if you can reel in a prize catch. In this instance it is probably better not to go for that monster catch... if you now what I mean.
Whether you're commandeering the rough and ready English channel on a Brighton stag do or the Meditteranean on an Ibiza stag do, fishing is perfect for catching up with the lads.
