Segway Tour - Downtown
For those who have not taken part in a Segway experience before, then we’ve got it all covered for you right here. The Segway is a two wheeled, self-balancing, battery powered vehicle, which is copious amounts of fun and incredibly easy to control. There’s no need to worry about falling off either – all you need to do is lean forward, and your weight will determine how quick you go – you’ll be able to steer using of the handle bars of the Segway to go in whichever direction you fancy. With each Segway experience, you’ll be provided with equipment and a friendly instructor, who will give you an introduction and briefing about your Segway session and then you’re off to embark on your Segway adventure! We offer Segway as an activity in top stag destinations both in the UK and abroad; hopping on a Segway is always a great laugh, and we just know that you and the rest of your boys will have an awesome time with this activity!
The tour will begin at our premises located at Calle Escalinata, 10, just 20 meters from Plaza de la Opera. The first stop will be the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral. Later, we will visit the newest area of the city: Madrid Río, including a tour of the banks of the Manzanares River, the Segovia Bridge (1564), the Rey Bridge (1816) and the Virgen del Puerto Hermitage.
Later we will return to the downtown area crossing the quiet Parque de Atenas, going up the Cuesta de la Vega, to visit the oldest part of the city including: Calle Mayor, Plaza de la Villa, Mercado de San Miguel (gastronomic temple par excellence), the Plaza Mayor (with more than 400 years of history) and, finally, the emblematic Puerta del Sol, with its symbolic “Km0” and the Statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree (symbol of the city). We will finish our segway ride at our starting point in Plaza de la Opera.
