Good weather and tasty food
You love tapas and wouldn’t mind seeing the Real Madrid stadium
Sizzling senoritas
Madrid has a rich cultural heritage and attracts almost 12 million visitors each year. Beyond being the home to the most successful football team of all time, it’s also home to a whole selection of popular stag activities that you can try on your stag do abroad. Madrid is the capital and the largest city in Spain and is the perfect place to get a taste of authentic Spain for a very exciting stag do. This is no '2 for 1', blue WKD, cheesy playlist, "the local pub'll do" kind of stag weekend. No, this is a tapas bar, cocktail lounge, sizzling senoritas and Spanish guitar music kind of affair. This is one to get suited and booted before hitting the sophisticated streets and rubbing shoulders with the Madridistas in some plush low-lit bar.
You can enjoy some tapas with the lads in this beautiful Spanish city, while you can pick where to focus most of your time, whether that’s wild bars and late nightclubs, historical sites and cultural experiences, football stadiums and activities, enjoying the local cuisine or even just relaxing in the sun with a beer in hand. Either way, we have you sorted.
Let’s start with getting from the airport to the city centre, where your stag accommodation will undoubtedly be (or at least if you book your hotel with us). You can book a taxi from straight outside the airport, or we can arrange for a transfer to pick you up, meaning it’s pre-paid and the minibus should be able to hold everyone so the whole group stay together.
You can also take the metro from the Aeropuerto, taking you to town via line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios. The multicard is useful, but you can also get a single ticket. Uber also operates in Madrid.
The last option is the Airport Express Shuttle, which also goes to the centre of the city, taking slightly longer, but an easy route and you can follow along on Google Maps until you get close to your hotel.
So now you’ve got to town, but you want to head around and visit multiple sites and activities, what is the best form of transport for you?
Again, the Metro is arguably your best option, being incredibly quick and with over 300 stations with 12 metro lines. It is worth noting though that trains are less frequent over the weekend. They also have a tram system in place.
Depending on where you need to go, you may also want to take the bus, operated by EMT, with over 200 bus lines throughout town. Take note if you’re planning on taking the bus back, they operate on the weekend until 11pm, so you may need a taxi back home after the nightclub, unless you’re a walking distance, which you very may well be.
If you get tempted to all hire bikes, something that’s fun to do but hard in a stag group as often there are one or two who can’t cycle, but there are rental bikes available, both electric and push bikes. Using the Bicimad app, you can unlock a bike from the docking stations by scanning the bike’s QR code against the app camera.
One of the most famous sights of Madrid is the stunning Parque del Retiro, or El Retiro Park, which is now a UNESCO world heritage site. This green oasis is an ideal spot to visit, whether you fancy seeing the sights, bringing a ball along or relaxing in the sun after a heavy night of drinking. This area was once only exclusively accessible to the Spanish royal family, so we’re relieved to see it open to all. Covering 118 hectares, you may even want to tour it all on a segway or rent bikes.
The Bernabeu stadium is also a must visit, whether you’re a football fan or not. The chances of getting tickets might be very low, especially as a group of 16, all with different budgets, but a stadium tour might be a more realistic option.
There are three types of tickets, the classic tour, offering panoramic views of the stadium and the museum at the end, or you have the flexible time ticket which allows you to fit this around your schedule, while the final ticket is the premium, with a guided service. The prices really aren’t too different, so it depends how much you want the guided service.
Another tourist spot that people like to tick off is the Royal Palace of Madrid, open from Monday to Saturday at 10am-7pm, while on Sundays it has a shortened opening time of 10am-4pm. You can easily do a self guided tour in 45 minutes, making it a possible option to fit in between activities if you find the time, or for anyone who wants to stay an extra day or has a late flight.
There are numerous famous landmarks and buildings, including the Museo Nacional del Prado, Mercado San Miguel, Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Museo Sorolla, but it can be hard to fit these all in on a wild weekend away with the lads, so it might be worth returning again in the future to see all of these.
Madrid is huge, and if you try to wing it, you’ll probably end up in a quiet corner paying ten Euros for a lukewarm lager. Our local guides know the backstreets like the back of their hand and will take you on an epic crawl to the best watering holes, so you can enjoy a great night out – just the way it should be.
Even if the groom isn't a massive Real Madrid fan, this place is basically a cathedral of football. You can walk through the tunnel, glance at the ridiculous trophy room, and get a look at one of the most iconic stadiums on the planet. For a decent bit of culture that even the least sporty person in the group will appreciate, look no further than this stadium tour.
You can’t come to Madrid and just eat the usual fast food – no way! A classic tapas feast is the best way to line the stomach and sample some of the local cuisine. We’ll get a table reserved at a top-notch restaurant, where the plates of local meats, cheeses, and patatas bravas keep coming.
Madrid has some of the most legendary clubs in Europe, but getting ten lads past a bouncer at 1am can be a nightmare. Leave the hard work to us and we’ll get you lads sorted with pre-paid entry, so you can skip the massive queues and walk straight in. It saves time, saves stress, and ensures the night stays on track.
If you’re visiting Madrid in the summer, that heat is going to be intense. And the way around it? A day at a waterpark of course! You’ll be able to spend your day splashing around, flying down massive slides, lounging in the wave pools, or just drifting along the lazy river. It’s a proper laugh whatever your age and a great way to escape the city center for a bit of sun-drenched carnage.
Fancy seeing the sights of Madrid without the legwork? Then a Segway tour is for you! It's basically the lazy man’s way to explore the city, zipping through the massive plazas on a futuristic power trolley. You'll get a quick briefing on how to balance before heading out into the city center. It's faster than walking, way more fun than a bus, and perfect for getting some decent group photos before the first round of the day.
We all know that dragging a hungover groom out of bed after a heavy night is a struggle, so why not let a stunning local dancer do the hard work for you? While he’s buried under the duvet trying to sleep off last night’s shots, we’ll arrange for a private performer to give him a personal wake up call he’ll never forget. And this performer will just so happen to be a seriously sexy stripper, who will put on a mesmerising, 15-minute show that will have him feeling alert instantly.
Fancy a session of pure stag silliness? Of course you do! With that in mind, we’ll arrange for your group to head to a dedicated site, where a series of mental challenges and games designed to test the group awaits. It’s a bit like a sports day for grown men, featuring everything from tug of war to inflatable obstacles. This one is high energy, absolutely hilarious, and the perfect way to see which of the lads is actually a secret athlete and who is just a liability.
You just can’t beat a game of bubble football, so make sure you add this fun daytime option to your Madrid stag do itinerary. Each stag will throw on a giant inflatable zorb, and you’ll attempt to play some games – but the likelihood is you’ll be running round bashing into one another and sending each other flying. Yes, it’s completely and utterly daft, but it’s a brilliant way to have a laugh with your mates. Just remember to bring plenty of water with you, as it will be extra hard work playing in the Spanish heat.
10. Private Stripper Performance
We’re going to be brutally honest with you. A stag weekend without at least one moment of pure, unadulterated awkwardness for the groom just doesn’t feel right. It’s an age-old tradition that never seems to go out of style, no matter where you are in the world. We’ll arrange for a stunning local dancer to drop by your accommodation or a private bar space for a show that’s guaranteed to leave him bright red and unsure of where to look.
Great hotels, great beer and great beauties! Madrid has a breath taking atmosphere that will ignite all your party senses, and believe us it's not hard to find a pulsating party or three in the city of Madrid!
Whether you want a tasty tapas bar, a decent pub serving pints, a popular bar or a club that stays open all night, we’re here to help.
One area in Madrid is the Malasaña neighbourhood, which always seems to be lively. Not too far from Gran Via, you will find plenty of bars and clubs. You’ll find bars playing rock, indie, electronic etc. There are also a number of restaurants here, so you can eat and then head straight out.
One very popular option is Malo Malasana, which has an amazing atmosphere and a bit of a wild rocky feel with stickers all over the wall. If you want to combine drinks with some tapas then you could try the Botequim Brunch & Tapas Bar.
Here you will also find some nightclubs to end the night with, such as Club Malasana, Rockade Malasana and Sideral Malasana...They love sticking the neighbourhood in the name!
The student and ‘drink deals’ area is Argüelles, where you can enjoy some dinner and drinks at La Charca Taberna. This area is a bit more chilled, less populated with bars as it’s a bit more out of the way, but could be ticking off on one of your days here. You could also visit The Host Club, staying open until 3am on a Friday and 6am on a Saturday. Nearby you also have Pub Single which has a small dance floor and a bit more of a local feel to this club, but great for 80’s fans.
You could also head over to the Literary Quarter in Huertas, which has had a number of famous locals living here throughout the past. You’ll also find a real range of musical options, so you can find one that matches your taste.
If you head here then you might want to end your night at Calle 365, which really does have a funky decor and some of the coolest cocktail glasses we’ve ever seen. Plus, they serve tasty taco’s, need I say more. Staying open till 3am, this is a late night option you could consider after a few bars. So if you want somewhere first to have a pint, why not try Muller Bar, with friendly staff and some brilliant drink options.

Can I Wear Fancy Dress In Madrid?
Unlike some other destinations in Spain, like a Benidorm stag do, Madrid isn’t as accepting to fancy dress. That’s not to say you can’t wear any, we will try to list on the activity pages which you can wear fancy dress for so you can still build it into your weekend, but you might want to go a bit more modest here.
Matching t-shirts people won’t care about, but a giant penis costume, that might get you a few bars and restaurants rejecting you, not to mention a few bad looks.
What Do People Tend To Book In Madrid?
Well apart from getting us to handle your hotel booking for the group, some of the most popular activities include the adventure based options, such as paintballing. We also find the dwarf hire is always popular, in every city we list this activity. Some groups like to do stadium tours, most notably the Atletico stadium tour, but it depends if everyone in the group likes football.
Of course, a stripper and nightclub entry are almost a given with our Madrid bookings. You may want to look into adding a restaurant reservation, maybe a tapas tour, so you can layer the stomachs before all the drinking.
What’s The Weather Like In Madrid?
Unsurprisingly, it’s pretty warm compared to the UK, being a Spanish city. Due to the high plateau, you’ll actually find it’s very dry here, meaning you shouldn’t expect rainfall during your visit (don’t quote us on that) if you’re visiting during the summer. They have lovely blue skies, even during the winter.
Madrid actually is one of Europe’s top cities for hours of sunshine each year, highlighting how nice the weather is. Of course, with the warm temperatures and lack of clouds, this does mean you should make sure to pack some sun tan lotion, appropriate summer clothing and find some shady spots along the way.
Having said all of that, if you do visit in Spring or Autumn, you may find the evening temperature does drop quite a bit.
Can I Go Topless Around Town?
No, this is actually quite an important point. The locals don’t like it when people take their top off in public. So even though it’s warm, try to just stick to a light t-shirt so you don’t overheat.
Can I Walk Around Town Instead Of Public Transport?
Yes, while above we have written up a guide on the public transport for Madrid, you can just stick to walking, as most areas are easily walkable. Considering you should be staying in a hotel relatively central, this will mean you’re close to activities, bars, restaurants and nightclubs, not to mention all the tourist spots.
The only aspect you’ll need transport for is the airport transfer, which we can arrange for you, as well as any outside based activities, which often require a big area, such as paintballing, meaning you might need a taxi over or you can chat to us about including transfers.
