Celebrate 250 years of Guinness on stag do in Dublin

18 Aug 2009

Brits heading to Dublin for a stag weekend this month may be interested in catching the end of the Guinness Storehouse 250 Summer Festival.

The season's worth of events is aimed at celebrating the renowned Irish drink's 250th anniversary.

Revellers are invited to attend the Guinness Storehouse on any day of the week, with different activities available depending when you visit.

Mondays see a demonstration of how the black stuff can be combined with food in the kitchen, with visitors able to hear the advice of head chef Justin O'Connor.

This is followed by a Guinness history lesson the next day, while those who attend on Wednesdays can indulge in a tasting and perfect pint session.

A guided tour on Thursdays looks at eight decades of the company's advertising, with Fridays set aside for a special guided tour.

Weekends bring a Ceili dance on the Saturday and a traditional Irish Music session on the Sunday.

The Guinness Storehouse is open daily from 09:30 to 17:00 local time, with last admissions 30 minutes before closing.ADNFCR-2122-ID-19318852-ADNFCR
