Walk-in cocktail bar opens its doors in London

Stag parties on the lookout for a novel idea to celebrate their final night of freedom might consider a trip to a new walk-in cocktail bar that looks set to take London by storm.

Owners of the Alcoholic Architecture bar insist that just 40 minutes spent in the venue - which shrouds customers in a cocktail mist of gin and tonic water - is enough to set punters on their way for the night.

Visitors must don special protective suits before entering the bar, which can house up to 40 individuals and is decorated with giant limes and straws to make it look like the inside of a cocktail.

Co-creator of the bar Sam Bompas told the Kilburn Times: "We're working with a sound artist to create the sound of what it's like to be inside a cocktail- with 80s music, party noises, the sound of the drink being poured in."

According to Brigid Delaney, writing for the Sydney Morning Herald, traditional drunken stag do antics are becoming less frequent in the UK, with a night in the pub often being replaced by a trip to a day spa or a day on the golf course.
