Beachdown in Brighton could be ideal for stag parties

Stag parties planning a big night out in Brighton this summer might time their weekend away to coincide with one of the seaside city's biggest events.

The Beachdown festival, which runs for 42 hours throughout the August bank holiday weekend, could be the ideal place to party ahead of those impending nuptials.

Writing for the Mirror's Music Festivals blog, journalist Beth Hardie said the event's "stunning location" makes it popular with revellers across the UK.

Boasting an "eclectic line-up of music, film, comedy and food", Beachdown this year plays host to The Zutons, Ocean Colour Scene and a series of top DJs.

In addition, the cosmopolitan city comes to life for the weekend as top club nights attract partygoers from all corners of the country.

With top drinking dens ranging from it elegant wine and cocktail bars to old-fashioned pubs with real ale on tap, Brighton is sure to cater to the needs of any stag party.

Meanwhile, the latest trivago Hotel Price Index shows the cost of a room in the city has fallen by 14 per cent in the last year, making it ideal for revellers on a budget.
