What Brighton has to offer a stag weekend

20 Feb 2009

As the days are getting longer and the weather gets a little milder, Brighton really starts to come into its own as a city to have a great stag weekend. More and more people are coming out of hibernation and thanking their lucky stars that sitting outside a pub to have a fag no longer means a risk of frostbite. As we’re feeling a little bit of spring energy in the office, we’ve put together some information about why Brighton is such a great location for a stag weekend, especially with summer just around the corner.

It’s by the beach

There’s something about being beside the seaside that raises our spirits – especially if the weather’s nice. It’s no wonder then that some of our most popular destinations are coastal towns and cities including Blackpool, Bournemouth and Brighton. Brighton’s pebble beach always brings a crowd at the weekend so if you’re looking for a bustling energy on your stag weekend it makes sense to head where the people are. There are some brilliant sea front bars and clubs like the famous Funky Buddha Lounge, or Oceanas and when you’re hung over from the night before you can soothe your head by nursing a beer in the sunshine on the beach.

Brighton Pier

Brighton pier isn’t just somewhere for amusements fun on a stag weekend, it sums up the ethos of the tacky fun to be had in Brighton. Brighton embraces groups who are coming down to have a laugh, especially groups who want to get dressed up so if you’re thinking of humiliating your stag by dressing him like a cheap hooker then Brighton will welcome you with open arms.

It’s got bars a plenty

Brighton is home to people from all over the world and its drinking venues represent this. There really is something for everyone. If you want your old time pubs check out Hove or the North or South Laines and if you want loud, cheesy and fun then make a beeline to West Street where you can find late night bars and two of the largest clubs Tru, and Oceanas. If you fancy a more independent scene of nightclub then make your way to the seafront where you’ll find everything from indie to dance to house.

First Class Activity centres.

Being Brighton based, we know our suppliers very well and have handpicked each and every one of them. We’re proud to offer a range of excellent stag weekend activities in our hometown from paintballing to quads, to sea fishing. We’ve got so many choices here that it can even be difficult for us to recommend what stag activities you should do. We’d suggest doing them all in one crazy long stag week! Now there’s an idea…
