Corrie star jets off for Majorca stag do

His on-screen stag do may have ended in disaster, but Coronation Street star Alan Halsall will be hoping for better luck when it comes to his real-life celebrations.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the actor - who will wed former Corrie co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson later this summer - jetted off for a three-night stay in sunny Majorca at the weekend.

With a stag party including a host of fellow cast members, Mr Halsall left Manchester Airport for his second bachelor party this year - having already celebrated his final night of freedom on screen.

But while his weekend away was sure to be an eventful one, the actor will have been hoping to avoid the drama experienced by his screen character Tyrone Dobbs, whose stag do featured an unwelcome visit from his troublesome aunt Pam.

Indeed, the hapless mechanic's wedding plans went from bad to worse on the soap as his mother later stole his honeymoon tickets to Paris, leaving him and new wife Molly Compton to enjoy a break in Blackpool instead.
