Classy Stag Do Locations

For some, the idea of a wild weekend on the stag strip in Benidorm sounds like the dream, but for others this will send shivers down their spine.

We understand that everyone wants something different, so we spend a significant period of time working with venues and suppliers to ensure we can deliver the greatest stag do’s to match your personal requests.

Over time, we’re finding an increasing number of people looking for luxurious and more classy stag do locations and activities. So if this matches with you, have a read through to hear our best recommendations.

Bath Stag Do

Bath was founded by the Romans in AD 43, while it’s the largest city in the Somerset county. We first have to admit that this is a popular city for hen parties, looking for a spa getaway and somewhere with a rich history, but it’s not a common destination for stag parties.

Bath is so historically significant that the entire city has been recognised as a UNESCO heritage site since 1987.

As for your visit, you could enjoy some clay pigeon shooting during the day, a great activity to try as a group and to help build some competitiveness between mates. It’s also a fun ice-breaker activity to help the group bond.

A one-hour punting trip down the river will allow everyone to take in the incredible architecture and views around town, as well as taking in the sunny rays. You will have a quick instruction on how to use the pole on the boat before taking to the water.

Edinburgh Stag Do

Home to the largest art festival in the world, the Fringe might be tempting to coincide with your stag weekend, but we would actually recommend visiting at a different time, as the hotels will largely be booked up and will be charging five times the price.

Home to where many of the Harry Potter movies were filmed, Edinburgh is really split between the old and new town, both of which are worth exploring on your bachelor party.

The castle is one of the most stunning parts of the city, while you will also find the National Museum of Scotland and Royal Botanical Gardens.

Depending on how active you want your weekend to be, you could try out some Highland Games,  including tossing the caber and tugs of war.

If you’re not a big fan of clubbing, an evening at ‘Barrel of Laughs’ comedy club might be a better alternative.

A whisky tasting experience in Edinburgh is a great classy activity you could try out, providing the group are fans of a scotch. Scotland is certainly renowned for their whiskeys and you can put your friends to the test to see if they can tell the subtle differences of the tasting notes. Alternatively, there is also a gin tasting experience if that suits your tastes better.

Also, make sure to take a look at our Edinburgh stag accommodation before you book your trip for somewhere cosy to stay.

Lisbon Stag Do

A stag do abroad tends to bring up negative connotations of ‘lads lads lads’, but the reality is that they can be a little more on the classy side.

One of the destinations that will definitely deliver is Lisbon, with its colourful buildings, great food and picturesque views.

You can embrace the historical sights of the city while taking the tram, you can have a trip down to the beach to enjoy a tipple at a nearby bar or head up some of the hills to earn that drink.

If you’re a keen surfer, then Portugal might be seen as the Mecca, while you can hire our surfboards for everyone in the group and have a professional teach everyone how to stand up before they hit the waves.

A trip to Lisbon wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Estadio de la Luz Stadium, if you’re a football fan. This has been the home to some of the biggest games in European history and has seen some of the greatest footballers on earth.

You might also want to heading sailing along the river Tagus, but most importantly, the boat will have a cash bar, so you can enjoy some drinks on this three hour cruise. Easily one of the best daytime activities you could do on a trip away to Lisbon, this has to be included! The step up would be to get a catamaran, something else we would be happy to arrange for your group.

Of course, if you fancy doing everything in style, we also can arrange for a limo to pick you up from the airport or take you back at the end, or even to drive you into town for your big night out.

London Stag Do

The capital of the England, London has so many different activities and sights to offer, including the Tower of London, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, London Eye, the British Museum, Hyde park, St Paul’s Cathedral, Borough Market and Trafalgar Square.

But for the benefit of this article, I’ll presume you’ve done most of the tourist spots and are looking for something a little different.

If you’re a fan of cricket then you could head over to the Sixes bar for an indoor game with some drinks. Your scores will be recorded against each other as well as against the greatest scores the bar has seen, so you can see how you rack up.

The nightlife in London is renowned across the world, while you could also try beer tasting in London, including 6 different beverages each, some nibbles, a pint Brewhouse & Kitchen Beer, plus a meal.

As always, we would strongly recommend you book your London stag do acommodation with us so we can guarantee your group will be accepted when turning up in large quantities.

Classy Stag Do Activities

Sometimes you should let the activity lead your decision on where to celebrate your big weekend away. There are copious amounts of options available to you, so we’ve filtered down some of the classiest options you could opt for not already mentioned.

Medieval Banquet

Embrace your inner King Henry VIII and enjoy a meal fit for a king, as everyone in the group puts on their cloaks and enjoys the entertainment taking place all around them.

This activity has been found across the globe, however we now purely offer it in Riga where it is at its absolute best.

You will get a three course meal, plus a drink per person, while you will watch jugglers, acrobats and all kinds of performers. This two hour reservation is the perfect way to start the evening.

Treasure Hunt In Amsterdam

Walking through some of the most famous and historical streets in Amsterdam, this is a great way to explore the city with a sense of purpose and adding a competitive side.

Of course, you will have a few beers along the way to ensure the group really get into the mood to find the hidden treasure. Your English speaking guide will direct you along the way as you look for clues.

Lasting 3 hours, this is a great daytime activity before the wild evening begins, plus it is great at bringing people together and helping them to bond, ideal if you have relatives and friends who might not have met beforehand.

Spa Thermal Baths In Budapest

Not every stag weekend has to be manic and chaotic, you can add in calming activities during the day that will leave you feeling pampered and calm.

Especially when in Budapest, the home to thermal baths, the ‘city of spas’. Relax in the saunas, have a back massage and sip on some prosecco, why do the women have to get all the relaxation.

This is a popular activity to opt for the morning after the night before, when you don’t want to be doing something active or something involving drinking, you can swim around the pool, catch-up with your great mates and pick your own treatments to suit everyone’s interests.

Because let’s face it, uncle Dave might not be keen on a serum & facial treatment, but he won’t say no to a massage or a dip in the water.
